Ancor portfolio company, Transhield, has recently been awarded two additional patents for its product TopCure®: a moisture-retaining sheet for concrete curing. The patents result from continuous product development and improvement by Transhield’s Research and Development (R&D) department.
The patents (U.S. 10,919,181 and U.S. 10,987,827) reference the particular pH modifying components for more efficient curing and anti-skid components for job site safety and methods of manufacturing the product.
The patents were invented internally by Seckin Ozol, Vice President of R&D, Na Qi, Materials Engineer of R&D, and Gregory L. Todt, Founder of Transhield. The two patents are the newest addition to TopCure’s original utility patent (U.S. 10,675,779) awarded in 2020.
“Transhield’s R&D team continues to impress with these newest patents,” said Ray Kingsbury, Ancor Partner. “Transhield is constantly looking for ways to develop their product lines. The patents are proof of their commitment to meet the needs of the construction industry, and we’re very happy with these new pieces of intellectual property.”
Jim Glick, President of Transhield, said, “We have made great strides in the concrete construction industry since we introduced TopCure® at World of Concrete 2018.” He continued, “We are always listening for ways we can improve the product, and Seckin and his team do a great job of taking that feedback and running with it.”
TopCure® is a moisture-retaining cover that cures concrete. It meets ASTM C171 for sheet material and moist curing. The benefit is a more durable, abrasion-resistant concrete surface. TopCure® has been used both nationally and internationally, steadily building a reputation for its ease of use and excellent concrete curing results.
