Brook Smith has more than 35 years of middle-market experience and oversees Ancor’s capital-raising process, including managing relationships with intermediaries and investor relations. He also serves as a Director for Care Options for Kids, Advanced Tissue, Duva Sawko, PMA Photometals, Industrial Timber and LSC Environmental Services.
He joined Ancor in 2007 after 25 years in investment banking. His association with Ancor dates back to 1990 when he began representing Ancor’s predecessor firm as its Investment Banker and handled numerous assignments prior to joining the team full-time.
Brook began his investment banking career at RBC Dain Rauscher Wessels and served in the Corporate Finance Department for more than 20 years. He also was Executive Vice President and Director of Capital Markets of Southwest Securities for five years.
Brook received a B.S. degree with honors from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University’s Edwin L. Cox School of Business.
Brook and his wife of over 30 years live in Dallas and have three grown sons. Brook enjoys the outdoors and spends much of his spare time at Cedar Creek Lake and in the Texas Hill Country. He and his wife are actively involved at Park Cities Presbyterian Church where he is a Charter Member and has served as Moderator of the Diaconate.
