Ancor acquires Paris Texas Hardware for The Finial Company

Ancor Capital Partners is pleased to announce that The Finial Company, Inc. (TFC) has completed the acquisition of Paris Texas Hardware.

TFC, founded in 1996, designs, manufactures and finishes custom drapery hardware. Ancor Capital Partners purchased the Company in 2005 in order to begin TFC’s transformation from an entrepreneurial start-up company to a professionally managed, operationally driven business. The Company’s products are sold under The Finial Company brand name through distributors to interior designers, architects and residential decorators. TFC is the largest producer of premium hardware sold to the design trade and offers a complete product line of decorative finials, rods, rings and brackets.

Paris Texas Hardware was founded in 1992 as a producer of premium custom decorative drapery hardware. Paris was acquired by Hunter Douglas in 2004. Over the years, Paris has expanded its product lines into mid-level price points to the design trade and packaged products to the retail channel. Through its unique designs, Paris has become an important supplier to the design and retail markets.

Ray Kingsbury, Ancor Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of The Finial Company, says, “This is an exciting acquisition for The Finial Company. It allows us to acquire a well-known brand, gives us the opportunity to strengthen our presence with the design trade, and also allows us new access for the retail channel.” Mr. Kingsbury adds, “Hunter Douglas made a strategic decision to exit this specific niche of the business. We appreciate the opportunity to acquire Paris Texas Hardware because it will accelerate our growth plan.”
